Job Description:
We seek a people-focused HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our organization by driving key HR initiatives, managing employee relations, and executing HR generalist functions. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, ensuring a positive workplace culture while aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
This role will require working in our Little Tokyo office in Los Angeles 2 days a week.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (ER):
Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
Investigate employee complaints, concerns, and conflicts, recommending appropriate resolutions while mitigating risk.
Assist the Senior HR Director in coaching and guiding junior managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, proactively addressing potential legal issues.
HR Business Partnering:
Partner with Local leads to understand employees' needs, talent development, and employee engagement strategies.
HR Generalist Duties:
Support the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and off-boarding.
Oversee HR policies and procedures, ensuring they remain updated and compliant with legal standards.
Leverage AI tools and analytics to enhance HR decision-making, improve onboarding employee experience, and streamline HR operations.
Champion the effective use of HR systems and technology, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
Conduct exit interviews and provide an action plan and presentation to the leadership team.
Conduct training sessions on HR-related topics such as workplace policies, leadership development, and employee engagement.
Maintain HRIS records, analyze HR data, and generate reports to support business decisions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certification preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations, change management, and HR generalist functions.
Strong proficiency in HR systems (e.g., ADP, Hibob, or similar), with a focus on optimization and reporting.
Familiarity with or experience using AI-driven HR technologies (e.g., AI recruiting tools, predictive analytics, chatbots, or sentiment analysis platforms).
Experience leading change management initiatives, including organizational restructuring or cultural transformation.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and best HR practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic insights.
Proficiency in Google Suite and data tools (e.g., Excel, ADP, etc).
