Contract: This role will commence with a four-week freelance trial period from approximately November 2026, followed by an initial three-six month contract, with potential for the contract to extend in increments to continue up to 12 months or longer.
Location: Sydney, Australia (On-site strongly preferred; remote candidates across Australia considered)

Schedule: Buck Sydney operates Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm AET. Some work may occur outside standard business hours depending on project and client needs. Additional hours are compensated according to applicable local working-rights standards and BUCK’s normal practices and procedures.
Role Overview
The Client Services Lead is a senior operator responsible for stewarding client relationships, ensuring high levels of client and internal satisfaction, and driving long-term partnership health and growth. This role requires strong communication skills, broad familiarity with creative production across design, 2D, and 3D animation, and the ability to translate business needs into strategic partnership opportunities. You will work closely with Client Service Directors, Creative Directors, Producers, and Senior Client Stakeholders to build trusted relationships and deliver successful outcomes.
You will serve as a strategic point of contact, translating business objectives into creative-driven solutions and leading projects to success end-to-end. While you own the strategic direction and client relationship, you will partner closely with the Producer throughout the production process to anticipate challenges, maintain alignment, and ensure work meets BUCK’s standards of craft and service.
This role requires strong hands-on execution skills with a strategic view, with a primary focus on managing key enterprise client relationships across multiple workstreams within the Tech Industry. You will navigate complex matrix organisations and diverse stakeholder groups, support client feedback cycles, manage expectations, and synthesise cross-project insights for internal teams. The ability to confidently manage senior stakeholders and build alignment across complex organisational structures is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Leadership
Own the primary relationships on the partnership projects, leading day-to-day client relationship management across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Serve as a primary point and a trusted partner for clients, managing feedback, expectations, and communication across workstreams.
Serve as the connective tissue between client teams and BUCK, ensuring clarity, trust, and alignment across every stage of work.
Help guide clients through the creative process, providing context, rationale, and strategic recommendations as needed.
Support brand, strategy, and messaging cohesion across all client-related projects.
Strategic Partnership and Business Development
Understand client business needs and translate to how BUCK’s capabilities can achieve those goals together - proactively and reactively.
Strong business and category acumen of the client and company businesses, analyzing landscape competition and identifying areas of growth opportunities.
Conduct regular client check-ins to gauge satisfaction, identify opportunities for improvement, and foster long-term partnership growth.
Maintain visibility into financial health across projects, supporting margin goals for the company.
Understand the client payment and financial cycles to identify the relevant moments for commercial planning and conversations.
Drive client retention and growth by proactively identifying opportunities to secure renewed business, deepen client relationships, and convert ongoing partnerships into repeat engagements.
Project Management
Facilitate clear, efficient communication between clients, internal teams, and stakeholders across time zones.
Participate in internal meetings to stay informed on project status, resourcing needs, and cross-team considerations.
Collaborate with lead producer to take shared ownership of the commercial health of the projects including scoping and timeline development
Team Mentorship and Collaboration
Partner with Creative Directors and Producers to ensure project goals, timelines, and deliverables align with client objectives and BUCK’s creative standards.
Anticipate risks or roadblocks and work with production to maintain timelines, quality, and smooth collaboration.
Collaborate and support Client Services Director to implement Client Services best practice principles across wider BUCK projects and educate the wider BUCK teams on CS benefits.
Support and guide Client Services Managers and aspiring Associate Producers, providing practical guidance on projects and serving as a day-to-day project escalation point.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel internationally from time to time (estimated at twice or more per year) as part of the role to support project needs, client meetings, and/or team collaborations.
Qualifications:
Fluent in Business English
8-12 years of account management or client success experience within design, animation, creative production, or related fields.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Exceptional communication - capable of translating client feedback into clear direction for creative and production teams.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proven ability to anticipate challenges and propose actionable solutions.
Comfortable working with clients and teams across different time zones and cultural contexts.
Familiarity with creative production workflows (design, 2D/3D animation, motion graphics) and the ability to speak confidently about the process without needing to be hands-on.
Bonus Skills (Not a requirement):
Fluent in Business Korean.
Experience working with global enterprise clients, particularly within the tech industry and complex, matrixed organisations.
Experience partnering with product marketing, brand, or integrated marketing teams within large technology companies.
Strong Korean corporate stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating multiple decision-makers, business units, and regional or global teams.
Proficiency with collaboration and creative tools such as Slack and Figma.
High-level understanding of post-production and animation pipelines, with the ability to confidently engage with creative and production teams.
